Who we are. Crouch End Media is a web design and development agency based in North London and Ascot, Berkshire. We build websites, web applications, and provide hosting services for businesses across the UK and globally. What data we collect. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), budget indication, and your project brief. When you use our AI chatbot, we collect any information you share during the conversation, including your name, email, phone number, and project details if provided. When you use our AI-powered Project Planner, we collect your project description. We also collect your IP address for rate limiting purposes across all interactive features. Like most websites, we may also collect IP address, browser type and version, pages visited and time spent, and referring website.

How we use your data. Contact form data is used to respond to your enquiry and discuss potential projects. AI chatbot conversations are used to understand your requirements and may be emailed to us as a lead summary so we can follow up. Project Planner data is used to generate your project blueprint using AI. We use analytics (Vercel Speed Insights) to understand how visitors use our site and improve our services. We do not use Google Analytics. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

Third-party services. We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

• Google Gemini AI – powers our AI chatbot, Project Planner, and contact form validation (Google's Privacy Policy)
• Resend – delivers email notifications from our contact form and chatbot (Resend's Privacy Policy)
• Upstash – stores rate limiting data to prevent abuse (Upstash Privacy Policy)
• Google Places API – displays verified customer reviews (Google's Privacy Policy)
• Vercel – hosts our website and provides anonymous performance analytics via Speed Insights (Vercel's Privacy Policy)

Cookies. Our website uses minimal cookies essential for the site to function. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Vercel Speed Insights does not use cookies.

Data retention. Contact form data is retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion. AI chatbot conversations are not stored on our servers after processing; lead summaries are delivered via email and retained as standard email correspondence. Rate limiting data is automatically deleted after 24 hours. Project descriptions are not stored by us after generating your blueprint.

Your rights (GDPR). Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time.
